Lol ok i admit i was 1 of the detainees during my NS time.
it was the most valuable period of my NS days. i miss it more than i was in camp with all my freedom.
for me i went in 6 times with 2 cases of hitting my csm, once for insubordination, twice for AWOL and the last time was on purpose bcos i was about to ORD in another 3 weeks.
Told my RSM to send me in to say bye to my frds, some detainees some MPs in the DB.
RSM said : u fuking crazy boy, faster go book out now (time then was 4.30 pm ). i came back next morning 9am in civi walking pass my RSM waving to him saying gd morning, he bth me ask CO to charge me 1 week DB..
am i psycho? -

actually alot of NS guys say that commando unit or those SIR units are very siong and they tend to act garang if they are from those unit.
i would say nth is more siong than DB. it mentally and physically tortures u while u are in there. myb i'm stupid but to me ending up in DB was the most valuable time in my NS days. -

i did tot of trying out the civi prisons once, but due to family commitments now i cant afford to do so
routine : wake up 6 in the morning eat breakfast, go back to slp. 7++ wake up to get physically tortured in parade square. afternoon go back lunch. lock up all the way till next day torture time.
its not the routine there thats interesting. its just the way of life there which is a valuable lesson. dun be suprised that the toilets there are as clean as any of the hotels in SG. -

duh, u call area cleaning torture???? thats something we do automatically in our cells.
i cant reveal the tortures but i can confirm with u that those tortures will make u proud when u go back to ur unit upon ur release. -

If all this is true, then I'll call it pure stupidity. No cheap thrills lasting a few minutes are worth an extended ORD date. I'd rather just keep myself subdued and get my pink IC back on schedule.
