Help Me PLs ..Unable To Cope With BMT....

Hi, i got a embrassing prob ..i got enlisted about 4 weeks ago but even now i got lots of probs which i think is affecting me quite badly.
I got diffculties communiating with my bunkmates. I am a shy guy since small. I tired engaging, starting conversations a few times but they seem not to be interested. I am also picked upon by other section mates in my platoon. For example they kajiao me then pretend nothing happen. Sometimes i m also maked used off. I supposed its my phy appearance cause i admit i m ugly and my shy character. I am also a slow learner n i often have to ask bunkmates for help n its obvious there r unwilling in helping me.
The seargants in camp are also a probelm to me. For simple mistakes like signing wrong lane they start scolding n shouting vulgarities. I still can remember when i was in live range n i forget to put my finger off the trigger a few times when my rifle was in samfe mode, the seargent start shouting vul like CB, F@Rk n some other vulgarities. He also use the empty shells to hit my helmet for every mistake i made.
The situation now is so bad that i am starting to feel depressed. Sometimes i would cry silently in bunk.
Well that sums off wad i had to say. I know its kinda immature n stupid to have this kind of mentality n NS is supposed to toughen me up but with all this kind of prob i doubt so. -
I don't know how to help you, but one thing is try your very best to communciate with your platoon mates or sgt. If you are still worried maybe you can have a talk with your PC. And the sergeants yelled at you, while at the range as they are worried bout themselves too. You're armed, with LIVE ammo, one oversight, one wrong action and you might cause someone to lose their son, their boyfriend.Its important that all safety instructions are observed.If anything happen, you can't just yell,"Cut, retake"Thus the emphasis on safety.
As for your bunkmates giving you problems, I suggest that you should open up to one of them, talk to them about your problems.make sure they do not take advantage of you yeah.

from personal experiences and to tell u the truth, since u are unpopular now, i'm sorry to say that the situation is not going to change. they will still continue to pick on u.
the thing to look forward to now is POP. hopefully u can start thing anew in your unit life when everyone goes their separate ways. make sure that in unit, for your part, u will open up more, be easy going. learn to socialise and very soon, u will eventually make new friends.
for the time being, just bear with it. don't let this unhappiness bothers u. good luck and take care. -

always treat the rifle as though it is loaded, c0cked and on semi-automatic. keep your finger off the trigger unless u r going to fire at the target, u f@rking CB.

I am sure that what you have encountered is part and parcel of NS life. Personally, i have endured much worse during my time in NS, now you are only in BMT, things will only get worse should you proceed on in your training. Therefore i suggest you adapt to this new life. No one can help you unless you want to help yourself.
I am sad to say this but i observe that the younger generation is weaker both in the body and mind, anyone else share the same sentiments? -
I also think that all the problems are bits and parcels of BMT, you have to face them yourself. Vulgarities are very common in SAF especially in BMT u mst be prepared to hear them all the time.

Let ME TELL U this STRAIGHT in your FACE....U are not cut out to be a soldier..Please look forward to get kana KICKED out from ur vocation after POP..It will do u more good then being a walking danger to others..Furthermore the SAF dun have so much time to talk to u nicely and coax u to learn things faster...They are training soldiers not ku niangs for fu-ck sake..Hope u understand

And vulgarites are to toughten u up..to co-ck up ur brains..To make u sensitive so tat u can give up easily & to give u be humble when u booked out when u are in the civilain world etc etc..Although some cb specs like to fark pple for the sake of it..I suggest u punch them straight away if they insult anything tat haf to do wif ur family..
The more u now recruit..The more i suggest u to punch cos lesser charge if recruits undergoing training phrase hit sgts..Maybe 7days nia or 2-3days nia maybe nothing at all depend on case & depend the sgt got fark up attitude anot(kana arrow etc etc) ..The higher rank u are the more jialat..So faster hoot ok yeah..Hoot outside better when he change civilain also can depend on ur choice..Hoot here hoot there hoot until 2years pass see who can tahan wins

My dear friend. Ns is just a another phase in ur life. Sad to see you encountering probs. But thats normal as person from all works of life gets thrown together to do things which they might not favour doing.
All i can help is telling u the fact that thousands have done it and been thru it.
U WILL just become one of them soon.
Just dont think too much and enjoy ur trainings. Makes some frens there and life will be better. ( Im sure there are afew true frens to pick out from the stack )

Somehow the problem may lies in your own introvert personality and not the training especially it involved live range here. You do have a good mentality from the onstart towards NS as an avenue to toughen you up physical but as I can see, shouldnt you also work on strengthening your self confidence and starts learning what interpersonal-relationship are about too. Grasping these well wil certainly place you in a good stead in your future employment.
At forum level, I can only advise you to seek out a few friends first, those who you can really relate to in the platoon. Do not feel pressurise that you are not accepted by the majority at this point in time as acquaintances do take some time before the next stage as friends. You mentioned that your platoon mates like to 'kajiao' you and presumely no bullying techniques are involved, then why dont you instead of taking it too seriously, try to play along. Sooner you could be speaking their language and friendship can sparked of from there.
Should anytime you feel uncomfortable, do not be afraid to initiate a talk with your SC or PC. They don't bite but be smart to check out the friendlier ones first. -

btw u r being disprespectful to medic and storeman vocation which i don't think it's fair. All vocations have their part to play, SAF is a whole organisation everyone have a role to play. Though I am a service medic, I know my combat colleagues will have to cover training/ops at company/battalion level, carry arms, and follow the company/bn wherever they go, rifle, medic's pouch and stretcher all alone. You will get shouted at if you are not competent on the field..
Back at the medical centre, medics have to face the stress coming from the annual audits, ensuring all the equipment are working correctly, ensure logistics and paperwork are correctly done.. for myself, I have to deal with patients with psychiatric patients (though most of the time, their medical appointments), medical logistics and dental patients, on top of the normal specialist centre appointment bookings.
Senior Medics have even a heavier role as they play a crucial role in BCS and stuff.. At the medical centre level, they have to know everything pertaining to the running (I believe Fudgester and tarutaru can better say this). -

Anyway to Chiobu86: Try your best in doing things.. If you still feel that you cannot cope, request for an urgent interview (I wonder if they allow such things) with your PC..
You might also want to consult your unit MO and OO for help. Just a suggestion from a medic -
