1300-1700 Browse submissions/proposals/projects
1700-1900 Cohesion with staff/bosses @ Mess
1900 Go back
Every Wed,Fri Substitute 1300-1700 with Training Inspections -
Will talk about a typical day in Navy(if no sailing)
Reach by 8.30am.
8.30am, go OC cabin muster, then see if he got anything to see.
9.00am, go back Cabin, take a rest.
10.00am go walk around ship, pretend to be busy.
11am go office, check emails(work emails, not personal ones)
11.30am LUNCH!!!
1pm, go my radio rm, and test-check the equipment to check everything is in working order
2pm. Check with my Coxn see if he wants me to do anything.
2.30pm, Check with my OC see if he wants me to do anything.
3pm, go gym, e-mart, tea break or whatever. In short, SLACK!!!
4.30pm, Go home!!!
Take note that my actual going home time is not 4.30, but only when there's nothing to do, and there's no sailing the next day.
If got sailing next day..
8.30am-Reach ship, sianz feeling
9am-Go dining area talk to NSmen, do in-processing etc, issue them cabin keys, life jackets, gear etc
10.30am-Load ration onto ship
11am-Find up which NSMen appointment are Radio Operators, talk to them, tell them what are expected of them during sailing trip. Tell them how to operate the equipment.
11.45-Go do up sail plan, let OC sign.
12.30-Lunch
1pm-Go office send sail plan
1.30pm-Go back ship, NSmen do shipboard drills, but have 2 stay besides NSMen see what complaints/queries they have, and try to help them.
3pm-Go check who from SQN sailing with us, and finalise NSmen nominal roll with the NSmen officers.
3.30pm-Army vehicles prepare to be put onboard ship.
4pm-Send nominal roll, and call base see if they got receive.
4.30pm-NSmen all go home prepare next day sailing. Me check that all cabins for them are in order.
6pm+++-All vehicles onboard. Inform base about it, and go home. Or if past 7pm liao, then stay onboard ship and sleep. -
0800- roll call
0810- go for strolls wif the doggies
- clear up their mess
0930-breakfast
1000-grooming
1130- sweep leave, pulck grass, area cleaning
1230- lunch, both humans and dogs
1330-training (occaisonally only) ,most of the time ended up sleeping
1500-go for strolls wif doggies again
1700-home sweet home
if got nite duty
0800- roll call
0810- go for strolls wif the doggies
- clear up their mess
0930-breakfast
1000-grooming
1130- sweep leave, pulck grass, area cleaning
1230- lunch, both humans and dogs
1330- lights out

0810- switches on PC and get things ready for despatch
0811-1200- run errands
1200-1230- lunch
1231-1730- work
after 1730- look for transport go home -
i really enjoys those day when all the chinese will sit together around the television and watch the repeat telecast of guess guess guess every wednesday at noon. we will talk about the chio bu and laugh at jacky wu's jokes. then after the show go for lunch together. those were the days.

I remember the jamming sessions after lunch if there is a lull in the office.

0530 ----- Wake up
0600 ----- Leave home take a direct bus to camp
0700 ----- Reach camp then continue to sleep
0900 ----- Wakeup up change to no. 4 go canteen eat and slack.
1000 ----- go pay RSM a visit to show face.
1015 ----- go back bunk play PS2
1300 ----- Lunch at cookhouse if its western, canteen if its not western.
1330 ----- go back bunk PS2 again
1645 ----- change to civi prepare to book out
1715 ----- pay RSM a last visit for the day and then book out.
This was my routine for the last 6 mths of my NS. -
my day @ work
0700: wake up frm slumber
0730-0745: in office. draw keys.take over frm duty clerk
0745 onwards: open office main door, open cabinets, open up boss office, set up boss office, refill e water btle.
0800: switch on OA terminal, log on N send parade state.
0810 onwards: read newspaper, update boss schedule if neccessary.
then start i net, intra-net n rot. breakfast n lunch is taken care either by ta bao or canteen.
1800: lock up e cabinets for pple gg home. n wait for boss to finish work go hm. then is lock up his office, hand over to duty clerk n go back bunk slp or nites out. -
0730 - reach office, sign in, turn on OA, check mail
0755 - 1st parade
0815 - breakfast
0845-0900 - reach back office
0900 onwards till 1145 - do work, wait for arrows(comes daily as i'm at the frontdesk), do saikang that's not within my jobscope, despatch to other office, check fax, reply to the emails sent to my office's email, move stores, draw stationery, move stores, listen to DXOs kpkb abt life and office, chit chat with my buddy nsf officer, listening to my Dy scolding ppl, in between tuang abit and prepare go lunch
1145-1330 - lunch fast fast, go back office nap or surf i-net

I know of quite a no. of combatant-trained guys who hate to do clerical work. They say the no. of OFFs they get is less than out-field combatants. -
