  Taking into the context of his earlier posts, we can see that he is not approaching his immediate peers or even his superiors for help..
  
  And yes it's good that he asked, but to be lackadaisical about firearms safety is already wrong.
  
  Some of us take things more seriously than the rest because some of us have seen situations involving firearms and ammo that nearly turned sour or cost people years in DB. So try and be more understanding, and don't come in guns blazing when you don't have to.

  yes he is not wrong to ask. but is looking at our replies alone going to help him familiarise all the procedures in handling a firearm?

  TH and Live-firing procedures, if unsure, should be noted down in writing so that it can be referred to when needed.
