hi all...
i just got posted to a new unit. but the prob is im living in tampines and yet my camp is in chua chu kang. i know u all are going to say that distance is not a problem as im a stay in... but now i have some issues within my family so it is casuign me some distress... my previous unit had already help me inform CPC regarding my case. so wat are the chances of me getting posting to a camp near my house? -

Try telling it to ur PC in ur nxt interview... I'm sure the officers can help u lor... If cannot go to the chains of command to ask the nxt higest rank to help u ...

You r in the army,don't expect much,your request for changing unit due to locations means more work for the CPC,u are an NSF right?do u think they will bother an NSF???Imagine if everyone in Army also claim that they r posted too far etc etc,doesn't it mean more work for them?

hmmm... but i do have some problems at home... i have already sounded off to my CSM... he says he understand my situation and will talk to my OC who is on course at ROC til mid of the month... so like that chances are still slim?
and furthermmore its not like im not going to serve army anymore... just that it is a change of place ofwhere im gonna work.. -
Aiyoh, is it possible to allocate people to units near their house ?? That means Changi Camp intake must have everyone living in East Coast, Tampines reach 18 years old together. Even Primary School registration also must ballot. So, if you move house during NS, can apply to change unit ??
Singapore's not a very big country, so don't give other people this type of problem. Find a better problem and start a new thread. -
seriously, need to know what is your vocation. If storeman or clerk can still request la. Unless you know someone in CPC. They might post u to a camp very near you, even possibly beside ur house... and ask u to stay in.
SAF is known to pull such stunts. But rest assured, if there are any family emergencies, I think u can get home pretty quickly. -
