5km Fast March! That was terrible, every men after the march vomit or injured themselve..Originally posted by Hellraiza:what's the furthest anyone here has fast-marched?
my goodness! I feel so proud of myself now.Originally posted by LoVeMeLoVeMenOt:5km Fast March! That was terrible, every men after the march vomit or injured themselve..
Yup.Originally posted by Gordonator:ok ya haha.
anyway, think only foxtrot company needs to hentak kaki cepak hentak and sings the "foxtrot" song after every route march. fudgester, your time also practise this?
How about you? How many km u have done before..Originally posted by Hellraiza:my goodness! I feel so proud of myself now.

what about the rest of your platoon mates?Originally posted by Hellraiza:proud as in i completed all my fast marches without major problems...

i remember 2 or 3 guys falling out, and half the platoon was lagging behind...i was the front scout together with another guy from 7SIB...phucking solid that fella, looks chubby and all that, couldn't believe he was a Guardsman until i saw his uniform! The first 2km was the worst IMO...all the muscles below my knees hurt like hell...but after awhile you just get into the flow of things...Originally posted by LoVeMeLoVeMenOt:what about the rest of your platoon mates?
Did the whole platoon fall out?
WAHAHAHA. You know, during our navex missions...whenever i was feeling too tired...i just imagined a group of girls chiong out from the forest, ripped off our packs and our uniforms, and one would be massaging my shoulders, one wiping off my sweat...and one doing things that would not be suitable to post here. Always brought a smile to my face, whereby by sergeant would be pointing at me and telling the rest, "eh look at him, walk until mentally unstable, smiling to himself"Originally posted by insouciant:Besides being fit and well hydrated.. The rest is mental..
Imagine your girlfriend in a skimpy... waiting at the end with a special treat for you...
lucky for us, we don't have to carry our rifles overhead.Originally posted by fudgester:Yup.
And we had to carry our rifles overhead while doing that.
And we got semula-ed many times.
We were LTA Luqman's first batch as OC.... I guess we were his guinea pigs.

5 km in 45 mins is quite ok, considering our route march is usually 4 km in 1hour, but we usually make it well before that.Originally posted by tlwa:I've done 8km fast march non-stop with SOB. Completed in 50min. The feeling is like my shin is going to break anytime. I was walking at the back of the company and I find myself keep running because the people infront can't catch up.
I've also done 5km fast march with FBO + 2 1.5L bottle filled + organic weapon. Time to meet is 45min. But my company wasn't able to keep close. The company was breaking apart. The first guy to reach the end point was around 40mins. But the MG team and medic never meet the timing given.
longwalk sucked.Originally posted by mrwonderful:wah, 5 km only. my recce time we do fast march for 20 km just for traininng for BRCC. then got exercise Longwalk in BRCC, like 40 km navigation exercise.
my PS once clocked us doing 11km/hr for fast march, FBO, complete team estab. their expectation and our standard was damn high last time. haha faster than speed limit.
fast march is all about conditioning, and its also very mental. keeep doing fast march u will become very good at it. cadence runs and SOC also helps haha.
more tough than OCS but get shit pay and no rank or respect, only one jungle hat.
