Need help with bookin driving test dates.

I will be enlisting in Sept 9 ( BMTC sch1 ) and POP by Dec 5 or 6.
The earliest driving test date at BBDC availabe is Dec 26. If i wait till posting after my BMT to book the test, it will be another 3 to 4 more months from Dec.
I was wondering if i will be allow to take the test if i got posted to various school or unit.

your new unit after u POP will most probably not let u off u to take the test as u might be required to stay in. secondly, trainees are not allowed to take leave. thirdly, what if everyone also wants to take off for every petty excuse they have? training will be disrupted.
i will recommend u book the test only after u have settled down in your unit, and understand how their system and management works and decide on your next course of action. -
I agree with Gordonator.
Once u settle in then go and book.
If u take the risk and book first without checking, you may not be able to go due to training/tempo requirements.
Of course, as a last resort u could always apply for leave on that day... assuming they approve the leave. -

It has always been OC discretion. -
in unit, going for driving test is only at night time and as well as with time permits... e.g. the training schedule... ur vocation, ur work scope, ur appointment, ur PC, and then OC approval...
ya... no such directive... at all...
wait till your last 6 months of service then think of getting license la... -

I book my test at 14 dec which i hope is the block leave right after my POP (5/6 dec).

The only closesest directive to this is that SAF sponsors 50% of your defensive riding course and that you are allowed time off to attend this course.
NO such thing as have off because you have driving lessons. -

u may do a check 1st and if really there is such a directive, write it down on a notebook will be more than enough. -

Not in official GOM or Directives. Officially, the serviceperson have to apply leave or off to take TP or go driving lessons.
Unofficially, units might have policies on such things. Usually they leave it to OC discretion. Or pose some conditions (less than x months before ORD, etc).
