That Enlistment Letter Dilemma

Hello people...
I received my enlistment letter many weeks ago- will be enlisting to BMTC Sch 2 this Oct
I just asked one of my friend(who happens to enlist on the same day as me) and he said that he recieved two letters: one is the enlistment notice and the other one is a letter to your parents+ferry tickets.
So am I supposed to get two letters? So far I've only received one.

even if your parents didn't receive the letter, they can still accompany u to tekong. they won't chase your parents away just because of this, so no worries.

I dunno what the system is now.
But in the past... you can bring up to 5 people to send you off at tekong. But there was no tickets to control this number. In the past, CO BMTC allows the entire entourage to go Tekong (some family brought like 10-15 ppl).
But as i was ORD-ing, i know they are cracking down on this hard because of budget.
FYI, a return ferry trip is $7.25 per person.
Yup, it means that when you book out, it costs taxpayers $7.25 x 200 (number of recruits in a company).
The TIBS (SMRT) bus to Pasir Ris is $3.50 per trip per person. That's why bus driver must press button for everybody who board. -

Now SMRT Buses no longer operates the ferry services & if I'm not wrong, now using private buses...miss those days where I could see them at Pasir Ris Interchange

Ok, so the thing is it does not matter for now whether I get the damned letter or not, my family members can still come without me fearing that they will be turned away, no?

To me I'll rather go on my own....but my sister die die want to go....dunno what's so fun about the whole enlistment process
