You must have seriously slacked through (aka pissed off a lot of people) army to come out as a private... I think even O level holders would come out as a CPL.

actually, promotion to LCP is not a confirm-will-get unlike CPL rank which must be given when the time comes to soldiers above A levels qualifications.
LCP promotion usually is given to appointment holder depending on vocation or recommended by superiors. most PTEs don't get promoted as superiors and the admin side don't wanna go through all the paperwork.
or in some case, like most PTEs in my unit, can only get promoted if they pass IPPT, a rule set by my encik. -
How will being PTE or LCP change your life ?

I think you will get extra allowance just being a LCP in your NSF life. But, since you have ORDed, no point thinking about it.

an update on this....i was enlisted jun 2004 and was due ord in jun 2006 but cos i go in sit so extend 3 mths...so now with db record and status of mono-intake personnel enlisted b4 dec 2004 how can i be CPL right..but my csm still put mine and two others who same as me on promotion list originally csm said no extension by 2 mths but we found it suspicious so we ask oc and unit S1 only to find out that we kana 2 mths extension as we r enlisted b4 dec 2004Originally posted by LazerLordz:You mean you are promoted to CPL? but luckily one of us has 'negotiation' with the oc for three of us so he called S1 to take our names out of promotion list or else i wun be ording next fri loh
