[OT] Canadian RSM 3RCR collapses and passes away after a run

  This may not be related to the SAF directly, but I thought I should post this up to keep everyone alert and to make sure that you are fit to take part in marathons before doing so.
  
  A soldier stationed at CFB Petawawa, 160 kilometres west of Ottawa, has died while taking part in a Terry Fox Run on the base.
  
  Public affairs officials at the military base said Chief Warrant Officer Joel Sorbie collapsed during the run on Thursday.
  
  He was rushed to hospital in nearby Pembroke, Ont., where he was pronounced dead.
  
  An investigation into the cause of death is underway.

  By the way, CWO Joel Sorbie is the RSM of the 3rd Royal Canadian Regiment.

  Sigh... that sure has to be a great loss to the Canadian Army.
  
  And it serves as a timely reminder to us of how fragile life is - and why we should do everything we can to preserve it, and make the most out of it.

  And currently, the Canadian detachment in Afghanistan are being tasked to capture a town back from the Taliban.
  
  They've lost quite a number of chaps this year already..
