did you read the letter? they want to know how long i'll be employed there. what if some unlucky guy, his company replied his contract is only 2 years, will his EP be shortened?
they don't have to check this way. that's what immigration records are for. your EP is automatically cancelled when you return.
They are so going to sabo me if they are sending it to my employer. Plus where I am now have a non-existent Postal system.. so i dunno how's the letter gonna arrive.
And yes.. i dunno why they have to verify this way. They last said they will check all EP records thru ICA. -

and it's not always so ... I come back to Singapore for holidays too ... and my EP was not canceled or anything ....
if the contract is only two years, then you should have gotten yourself a 2 year exit permit ... else that would be like lying wouldn't it ? ... if you're going to stay on further, just apply for another one ... it's not like they'll say no and force you to come back eh ... -

My brother just got his "Random Verification" also.
so apparently it is not as random i thought it is.
But his is sent to the Residential Address as registered when applying for his EP.
