  Can any one explain why the mechanised iglas on display seems to have this piece of metal added on top of it? Is it to protect the missiles from the rain or are all MANPADS by nature is fearful of rain. Anyway, are the Iglas guided by the radar dome?

  I guess its for all-weather protection.
  
  Without going into detail, all I can say is that the IGLA ADVs work in a way that you only need one command and control vehicle, i.e with radar to guide the rest.
