How does a 2LT and a 2WO treat men????

As above,let me start the ball rolling... In my unit,my 2WO si beh kan fcuked up... DO nothing to boast our morale,dunno how to encourage his men and keep on fcuk us, then chee bye nv give us welfare...My 2LT in BMT was nicer... He knew how to boast his men morale and give us welfare... I believe most officers' follow the directives lor...

Hmm, I never work under a 2LT before. But normally I will treat them like how i treat my other workmates.
A 2WO in my Division whom I work closely with is very nice to me. He will certainly help me if I need some help.
I guess it depends on individual. -
2WO in unit/sch is bound by his duties as an RSM to impose regimental rules...cannot blame them lah...only doing their job mah...
every one has their job and livelihood.

cannot compare bmt and other units..
in bmt, most of the 2LT barely have 1 yr exp in handling man. juz passed out from OCS den go thru commander prep course den send to the companies liao.. in units, the 2WO are all lao jiaos in the army, seen many many faces alr. comparing my BMT and SISPEC and unit life, i shld say my SISPEC 2WO isn't tt great. leave us to live on our own. report sick oso kena suan.. got this platoon-mate of mine, sprained ankle den report sick, kena f until cry, say y he nv take care of himself and is a waste of time, space and money in SAF blah blah blah... unit 2WO treat us more like commanders, have more respect for us.
well, bottomline is tt it really depends on which unit and how u view ur commanders. one man's meat may be another's poison.. -

I preferred to work with them, because they have the EQ to get the work done. -
i rather have a 2LT to work with than a 2WO,i have seen 2WOs,most of them is really nice and really take care of thier men lor... Y i say 2LT is better,they knew what the men wan and although they are new,but they really care for their men under their charge...

In this case, is there a diff between how a 2lt treat his men as compared to a cpt? Or a 2wo as compared a mwo?

BMT is just more of a showcase for the parents. Once you are in your unit, you will know what army life is all about.

Whats the point in comparing anyway? Does it affect the standard of individual human characteristics in service?
Some ppl born to be "guai lan" while some are nice chaps. In a rank-and-file organisation, as in many others, you follow orders of your superiors whether you like it or not. The important thing is you learn from what you experience and dun repeat the same mistakes made by the bad examples you met. -
Apart from Tekong, I have never been under a 2LT before...
I remembered that before my course in OETI starts I have been attached to another unit (A CCO instead) and that warrant under me is an easygoing and nice guy... He should be in posted tooverseas by now...
In OETI, the warrants (2WO and 1WO) are very pro in their work and they are those understanding and easygoing types...
But when I was in the unit, that 2WO that I was under him is a f*cked up person who only treat their men well if they know how to curry favour him...
He don't treat his men equally and likes to create troubles to those men who don't por him... -
I routinely liaise with a 2WO at HQ because of my work requirements, and he's really nice, he'll try his best to help even though it can be a bit slow..
I don't have 2LTs at my place but I have the medical officers there, they don't pull ranks and are very friendly =) -

I know this 2WO who used to be my CSM. He seemed like a pretty hard and strict superior, but he was also very shrewd and savvy and knew how to get things done. If you worked directly under him, he'll treat you well and give you some privileges, as he knew he needed you to do his things for him.
2LTs, on the other hand, tend to be nicer, easier to talk to, as persons, but as superiors, their inexperience in handling people can be a problem. Sometimes they can cause offence without knowing it, through lack of EQ. -

age gap is also an issue.
But not to forget 2LT fresh out and have lots of drives. However you will still find the odd ones out
2WO old bird, seem too many to hv too much drive. Just like my company WO used to tell us

For my unit,i respect the WO more,even though they tend to be slack but at least they know their work well.As for those 2LT,everyday come to workshop see us work,dunno what we are doing at all but down there ask this ask that,it can be very Fan leh
I still remember one officer very hum ji,ask him sign leave form he say he dun dare cause he new,wah kao then i ask the WO wah very steady one never look at it just sign hahaaa
I think 2LT is somehow more respected in combat or training school,in service unit,it the experience of the lao Uncle that will let pp respect. -
aiya.. many types of plp 1.
in my opinion:
WO is more experience in work related things. They went through the tough army life last time. The are usually in their late 30s or some even near to 50s. They will be in a more like fatherly role. Most WO like to slack. But if there is any problems, asking them is the best way.
2LT is more of a green horn. He is usually of the same age as a private, so plp of the same age has less generation gap. Some might even be younger then u!!
For me, i would respect a WO more compare to a 2LT.
