But having a Class 3 is good. You can drive the GP car or Landrover when they are available. Maybe, you need a familiarisation which your MT Sgt can give you, or go for a short conversion course. Not sure the system now. But just be careful not to langa ......... its a lot of hassle.

Those posted to drivers vocation still have to go through the clss4 driving course at school of transport...now known as what i dun look since i completed my NS ages ago. army only recognize military license. once you completed the course and pass the test u will be posted to your assigned unit as driver under the (usually) logistic wing. if u posted to hq may be more comfortable to drive aircon cars but with the short fall of having to face officers and crabs everyday which is no freedom as compared to unti where the most u face is pl sg or pc.
even those who are non drivers selected may be posted to the 1-2 month short driving course to obtain a clss4 so that you can drive vehicles under the class in your unit be yr vocation non-driver.
