I just received a letter from MINDEF stating that I was posted to holding list managed by NSPC and I know that for this period I dun need any ICT, IPPT and RT but will we be liable for open mobilisation when we are in holding list?

After my ord, i was posted to division RHL(reserve holding list). A year later, i got a new letter stating that i've been posted to my unit's RHL.
I'm Pes B (used to be Pes C during NSF, but was upgraded when i ord).
You mean i don't need to do IPPT? I have 4 more months before my window close and i was thinking of getting my act together. Maybe i should call up my unit to double confirm about IPPT but was just wondering what you guys think?
If i'm not wrong, i think either laserlordz or gordonator is also in holding list right? How's that working for you? -

But for friends of mine who are PES A and B but are posted to a Holding List, regardless of unit/division, they do not have to take IPPT, because you are not in an activated reservist unit. -
That's cool. But still, knowing army and all the kinds of imaginative stunts they can pull, think i will call my unit up to confirm.
Imagine how crappy it'll be if my window closes and the following week i get a letter telling me to report for RT!
