Hmm... Fear of blood and needles wont get you ooc. The course commander WO Tan is a famous psychopath. Once, a trainee got excuse IV from a specialist, WO tan still force him to do IV and take IV. The sgt there are very nice but WO tan is really a bastard. In the course, you just need to tahan his gungho-ness. IV isn't that bad, it just feels like putting a finger into your ass. The worst thing about this course is just WO Tan. Endure this course and you'll be pass out as medic and just lobo in medical centre till you ord even you're combat medic, unless you're from unit. -

Yup, that excuse IV personnel story is true as I was from WO Tan's pioneer batch as well. To be frank, you will start to get used to the IV but the starting few needles seriously suck. Just endure the pain like a man and don't waste the needles! Tell your buddy to push the whole damn thing in if not he will fumble
Trust me, it helps to build up your buddy-buddy relationship, haha. -

Medic specs need to be sispec trained now...unlike last time.. -
i read other forum why they say WO Tan very xiong issit? anyone know wad is the allowance for combat medic now? Wah.. going in at 26 dec.. hope the 9 week course can be manageable.

Scare of blood/ needles definitely wont get you OOC. There's a psychiatrist in SMTI and his name is Dr JBL. Very famous for 'treating' patient with phobia of needle and blood.
Heard there'll be a change of OC for Basic Medic course. So if a even more gungho OC comes, gd luck! -

anyway, frankly speaking, IV is die die cannot siam one, i only remember one case when they let a guy OOC due to fear of blood was when he SEE iv being performed he started convulsing liao lol -

combat no, service yes. SAF ward IMHO is one of the best place, stayout, can go out for lunch, if have lunch in AH also nice, duty at night got internet....

im from P035.the latest batch.our course commander is not WO Tan but WO Khai and the course is damn difficult!just entered last wk and i only know how to do the PAM primary survey.
