When I had my JCC, we have to sit in an ampitheater, each with a live quail in our hands and watch our instructors kill chickens, goats, and other stuff. The quails knew they were going to die and a lot of them became restless. Some even sh*tted and peed on us... I felt my own quail shivering in fear...

seriously how could the chicken feel pain if it's head is not around? guess we would nv know huh?
anyway, it is not easy to catch an animal in the jungle, but is is possible to TRAP them. so the killing is to teach one how to kill it?

It seems that the head is still conscious after decapitation. There are reports of people who were beheaded and can still blink and respond to their names...

Actually this is not at all that bad you know. Some foreign armed forces, to test their combat medics, actually take animals like wild boar, get a sniper to shoot it from afar with a sniper rifle, then activate the medic to try to save the animal... at least, that's what one of my bmt sergeants told me...
