Regarding 11b and Medical

As I understand, our medical bills are covered by SAF if it is referred to by a doctor. However, what about existing follow-ups? If you're already seeing a doctor for an existing condition, can you present your 11b to the cashier?

Yes, you only pay for the first consultation, all non admission follow up is covered by the SAF.
I would advise you to make full use of this, i know i did
. the SAF pays for all treatment and 75% of your ward charges, depending on your rank and what class ward you're in. I paid S$100 for knee surgery and 2 weeks in hospital, plus all the physiotherapy. -

My situation is that I am already seeing a government doctor for a long time. When I go back for follow-up during my ns, can I pay for it with my 11b assuming there is no referral(because I'm already seeing him) and no first appointment (because I'm his old patient). -
if you're already seeing the consultant, then it should be covered. it's only a first consultation if you request for the medical review. even a referral from your camp MO will be considered a follow up and is covered

mm.....how about treatment for something i suffer in NS and it requires long term treatment....after ORD how? suck thumb pay for it?
