but in the case study here, it is indeed too coincidental i must agree. if threadstarter's brother really wants to keng, he should have just extract 1 tooth to get himself 1 week of MC. since he got 2 teeth extracted doctor also give him the same 1 week MC.
or he thought he could get 2 weeks MC, ends up only 1 week. -

I think the question is how far Ur brother want to carry this thing....since its just confinement...just go back lor...its not as if its an extra...
I dunno about confinement nowadays...but if need to do some area-cleaning while in confinement...just show the endorsed MC to the spec-in-charge and things should be quite easily settled. -

Well, two points,
1) Pray hard that yr brother got high fever or swelling or bleeding due yr removal of wisdom tooth. CSM will be blamed and yr brother - safe. Why, got MC but CSM overwirte MC, no one in camp, buddy not around, cannot find help.
MO is usually a Captain or Major. CB CSM only SSergent, dun give MO face, hee hee CSM die till dun how he die.
2) Report to yr OC. Sure kana weck upside down. But yr brother in deep shit.
Always kana gaurd Duty on weekends, kana arrow for nothing.
Please stick to 1 because much safer. -
Frankly speaking,if your bro want to di siao siao with the CSM,it likely also,he can ask his parents indirectly or just ask your parents to write to straits time, MP,etc,regarding "how come my son got MC cannot stay at home?Is the health issue more impt or serving the NS?" as he really have a hospital MC given,not by GP.BUT he will definely get into trouble,it a lose lose situation to the CSM as well as Himself,cause maybe he may get to go home rest for MC,but from the way his CSM handle things,he will definely get a longer period of confinement after finishing his MC loh and since u mention that the CSM is going to ord dun really bother abt his career in SAF,i think it hard also to complain

there are instances where my MO has referred a soldier to be warded for UTI in a hospital but the CSM decided against it...
med ctr cant do much...we juz give healthcare...and should anyone deny a person's right to proper healthcare..it'd be his own responsibility instead.....should something bad happen -

the CSM got the COS to call up my brother informing him that he do not need to return to camp for confinement....it will be postponed to next weekend instead. -
then if ur csm confines you without indenting cookhouse rations but insteads offers you combat rations, did he breach any rules?

He returned to camp to have his MC endorsed by camp MO and S1 branch. CSM saw him and wanted him to return on Friday evening to be confined till sunday morning.
My question is: can csm overwrite doctor's MC (+ camp MO's endorsement?)
i feel that my brother can still serve his confinement in a later week or so. I'm quite sure the doctor has good reason to give 6 days MC for extraction of 2 X wisdom teeth.

for you guys out there wisdom extraction can have a wk MCs this is to prevent you to go around eating after extraction then did not brush teeth can lead to inflamation. But the CSM cannot cancel the MCs jsut like that. If the CSM is not happy the servicemen taking MCs for so long, he can ask the MO to the DO whether is it advicable to ask the servicemen back to work.
