Enlisting tomorrow, so damn sian....
Anyway I have some last min questions, like:
-Should I bring some home clothes?
-From wad I have seen from the new edition of the Recruits Handbook, items like toiletries, and padlock are provided.....so should I still bring my own toiletries or use the ones that are issued tomorrow?
And one more:
How many pairs on underwear do you reccomend I should bring? I've packed 10 so far, so is that still not enough or I'm just being kiasu.....

2. Bring your own. Those issued are for stand by bunk.
3. Not enough if you don't intend to wash them and dump them to your mother/maid to wash. But seriously 10 is overkill. -
u can never have enough of underwears...
bring one set home clothes lor...cos when u book out...oso book out with number 4 -
its better u get ur own padlock tat is diff. from others,
i mean if u use the issued one,then every1 will hav the same type.
its to counter thief in ur company,in case it has.
for clothings,i only bring along boxers,
as i wore the issued singlets/T-shirts all the time.
no pt bringing in ur own clothings as u bk-in or bk-out
hav to wear no4 unless u're excuse from uniform. -

i suggest u bring your own small lock with keys cos i think the padlock they gonna issue u might be this type, very time consuming to open and must remember the damn combination.

y don't u give us a list of what u brought. than we'll see from there.

don't have to bring so much things, specially clothing. travel light. refer to page 1 of the BMT thread for the list of essential items to bring.

most of us wear the army admin shirt and shorts. in fact most of the time we don't wear shirt at all. u don't wanna be the only odd-ball wearing home cloths while the rest wear the same grey army shirt right? -

bring clothes hangers, clothes pegs, washing powder, slipper, etc....

LIST OF NECESSARY STUFFS
Toiletries: Liquid soap, liquid shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, facewash, cleanser, acne cream (I have pimple prone skin), deodrant,
Washing powder, 6 hangers, clothes pegs, first aid kit, plastic bags, notebook, padlock, slipper
10 pairs of underwear....
LIST OF THINGS NOT IN THE LETTER BUT PACK ALREADY:
-snake powder
-thirsty hippo
-shorts
-t shirt
-a book(haven't finish reading yet)..LOL
