Cos quite a number of cases of G.I getting themselves killed when their M-16 jammed and malfunction under harsh condition in Vietnam war as the vietcong overrun them!Originally posted by Ponders:why laugh.
Some of the BMTC rifles migth have seen action in Vietnam for all you know.
you must have been refering to the earlier models of M16. Yes, earlier in the war, the GIs did not have faith... sigh...Originally posted by zenden9:Cos quite a number of cases of G.I getting themselves killed when their M-16 jammed and malfunction under harsh condition in Vietnam war as the vietcong overrun them!
Proven in Vietnam war?? LOL.. Even the US forces are dumping some of their carbine and M-16 under the harsh and sandy condition in Iraqi for AK.
saw a documentary on the M16 that it was introduced in the early days of Vietnam war and improved during the war...example for the jamming part...so at the end of the vietnam war...the M16 was combat-proven.Originally posted by zenden9:Cos quite a number of cases of G.I getting themselves killed when their M-16 jammed and malfunction under harsh condition in Vietnam war as the vietcong overrun them!

exactly. not only does it looks weird in serang diri position (not to mention tiring), i can't stand the sight of SAR21 with bayonet on them.Originally posted by octega:Judging from the national day parade this year, the SAR21 is indeed crappy in parades, sibei gu niang, I hope they used back M16 for next year.
