Ancient times, if in western world, CPT is leader of a company, so so big only. But I think you refer to Ancient Chinese rite? I've actually never seen Dui Zhang as a rank within Ancient Chinese military, normally its just a general reference to a army leader. The normal ranking system is Wu fu Zhang, Shi fu Zhang, Bai fu Zhang, Qian Fu Zhang equivelant. The Ancient Ancient want uses terms like Shi SHi, She, Da Ya, Ya Hou and stuff, so even more unlikely to have Dui Zhang. The closest term that the the Zhong Wei used in Qin and Han Dynasty which is written in the same way as modern Lieutenent, but back then it is the CDF equivelant.
Do reply me if you can find a specific dynasty or era where Dui Zhang is a recorded rank. I'm curious too.
