Obese enlistees

i know that there are chances for obese enlistees to post into SISPEC but is it possible that they got a chance to go OCS?
also, is it true that most obese enlistees got into service vocations? -

Dunno about service vocations but I've got obese friends (or used to be) who were in infantry. -

And yes Obese enlistees can go into OCS and SISPEC as long as the meet the requirements.
Finish BMT,Good Peer and Commander apprasial and a Pass in IPPT(Aim for gold or silver to be safe).
My friend frm obese coy went OCS and got SOH -

Without doubt, in the army, physical fitness is always a consideration but I'd be very surprised and dissapointed if OCS were to put a bar against all obese recruits -

my BMT Company 2IC is from obese batch.

i know of obese recruits who made it to SISPEC/OCS. but once they are there, they are subject to the same physical training/standards/tests. eg: SOC, IPPT.
so if anybody who is obese here and u are aiming 4 command school, GO for it! train hard and don't give up.

I am obese recruit as well, I got friends in OCS and SISPEC after our BMT, there also in all kinds of vocations in SAF, obese recruits can be stream into.
So dun believe ur OC, PC and PS will say that obese recuit will only go to become storeman, driver, etc. TOTALLY BULLSH!T

My friend last time Kilo company.
Go ocs,come out 2Lt with JCC badge and ippt gold. -
i really respect those obese recruits. a simple push up is like a mammoth task to them n yet they managed to overcome all the difficulties. kudos to them.

i remember people from the super obese company opposite mine used to faint after jogging for like 100m. but when one of them got posted into my unit at yr end last yr, he looked rather trim...yeah; kudos to them..cldnt' rreally tell that he used to be obese...

reminds me of a friend who is from Bravo (mild-obese) company. when we first saw him in unit, i was surprised to see him, a skinny person wearing a size L uniform. then he said that because he lost a lot of weight in BMT. he even show us his 11b of his old chubby self.

Oh my god!.....will you people listen to yourselves? your calling them "the obese ones".....what the hell is with you all? your sanctioning people into a seperate category from everyone else just because they weigh more than the other men/women? some of the things i've read on this forum are giving me the lowest amount of respect for the SAF. and i work with the SAF! i've seen and heard quite a lot working with the army,but nothing has shocked me more,or made me feel embarissed to work with the SAF than what i've read on this forum lately. you should all be ashamed of yourselves....it doesn't matter what size,skin colour,race or religion someone is...everyone is the same....i thought citizens of a country with such a large amount of different races would be more accepting than this. i'm sorry if i have offended anyone....but this is disgusting!
