Regarding handling con wire har.....one of my colleagues once told me its possible to handle conwire WITHOUT gloves....the trick is to grip the damn thing tightly.Originally posted by Ristar:engineering glove is f***ing cheapskate, and the colour is not tactical, plus, the material is quite thin.
any full finger gloves that provides adequate protection, and dark coloured should be used. thicker variants can be used to handle concentina wires safely, although it is recommended that one use the gloves meant for these wires when available. in addition, one needs full finger gloves for the digging of shellscrape/fox hole/command post (forgot name) lest one blisters/injures his hand/fingers/watever.
imo, half finger is not good, because it does not protect the fingers when doing section movement, or do anything i mentioned in the paragraph above. speed is life, although this is only training, the last thing on my mind should be where i should place my hand so that i wont get cut.
also, the blardy commando mosquitoes can still bite your fingers.
it cuts when at the correct angles and at movement, or when enough force is exerted. but why grab it with bare hands when protection can be used?Originally posted by Hellraiza:Regarding handling con wire har.....one of my colleagues once told me its possible to handle conwire WITHOUT gloves....the trick is to grip the damn thing tightly.
Thats why i didnt try it out for myself.Originally posted by Ristar:it cuts when at the correct angles and at movement, or when enough force is exerted. but why grab it with bare hands when protection can be used?
