What happens if you misplace your Cert of Service? What do you do/ whom do you approach to get a replacement?

Lucky for you, now serve again for 2 years to get another one. Used to be 2.5 years. Hahahaha
Jokes aside. Can get a replacement with a fee. Misplaced mine before donkey years ago.
Have to go (forgot is CPC or NSPC or something) to get a replacement. Then after I get the replacement, found my original. Swear I have look into that file more than 10 times. Haiz....ghost cover eyes.

i hope it's in one of the many bags i cleared from my bunk..just scared i misplaced it..but will have to check thoroughly for it....so mindef actually has a soft copy of my COS? that's a relief..how much does it cost?

Is there actually fixed format of the COS?
It seems different units have different standards.
My unit's best conduct is Outstanding.
my friend's unit... say only 3 grades. GOOD, VERY GOOD, FAIR. -

Hmm...there is outstanding but must your unit commander must write a testimonial for you on why you shld get outstanding....
most are lazy to write...so they give the next best..very good.. -

Dunno is it soft copy or not. Never bother to probe how mindef keeps their record..Didn't even noticed if it is the same serial number....

By the way, me also finished with my 8th year of NS cycle, but completed 16 ICTs cos every year kena two ICTs...

Basically the COS is prepared by OC and CO just signs it.
My unit my company, my OC is very particular about ppl getting outstanding and he made sure he wrote testimonials to those he gave outstanding. Basically all the men under him who attained "maximum possible NSF rank" (e.g. 2SG, LTA) will get Outstanding. But those who ord with "normal" rank (3sg and below) he just gives Very Good unless there was a charge.
But another company's OC, just gave everyone Outstanding without testimonials. -
Fwah... so nice ur OC and CO.
All my blood, sweat and tears and all I got was a Good. WITs project get Gold also never reflect. =/ LOL!
