morale of the story is: apply for deferrment. If he has applied for deferrment, none of this will happen, some more he has good reasons - start work in new company.
He want to get free leave and get paid and scarly now ICT cancelled, hor seh liao...his leave and plans all disrupted.
All sorts of reasons can lead to ICT being cancelled, maybe the unit CO who happened to be a tua-kee person have something on, maybe not enough ppl to report for ICT bcos whole lot of them deferred, also maybe ICT planned for Thailand and now with coup and the Thai so DL with us, better not go.....the list goes on.... -
There was one time my friend's Battalion.. only about 60% strength go for overseas ICT.
Which my friend say very f'ed-up. everybody have to do everything that in the end the ICT is more of stores checking, loading, unloading, cleaning, and storing than a real ICT exercise. -

CO & PSOs have Pre-ICT co-ord and decide to leave out those people who are
1. always slacking, jia juah type
2. non essential personnel,
3. trouble makers
4. anyone else who cannot contribute to the unit getting REDCON 1
This happen to my last overseas ICT, we realised that the trouble makers did not go overseas with us even though they turned up for the ICT briefings. -

although i'll love to get such a job, my alliance is forever with the combat engineers.

which brings me to a question. u think anyone of the regulars from intelligence in the saf will monitor any thread or forum that discusses abt this? cuz i saw the intranet news, they say security getting worse cuz of the recent vids on youtube.

COL Benedict replied a forum complaint that came up later than this issue at hand.
So is he trying to make us forget that somebody ever complaint about this problem?
