if NCC kids remove their epaulette, the one with the words NCC, (on their shoulders), n walk in public, people will mistaken them for NSFs right? especially if the NCC cadet got rank like sergeant or corporal....or best still, staff sergeant rank
got come across NCC kids who do this? -
pls la...who will want to promote themselves to NSF with greater responsibility.
i think is the other way round...recruit will wanna put NCC epaulette after they book out haha

Me thought NCC cadets have their school names in initials sewn on to their sleeves...
By the way, our SAF uniforms have olive green "Singapore" tag and name, alongside with formation badge on the right sleeve and arm badge on the collar... BMT NSFs only have the olive green name tag and "Singapore" tag lah... -

U heard of 'Long service award' to students ?? That time, i did see one guy, quite tall on the bus, looked like the age of a NSF too. I tot it was some despo NSF trying to filrt with his gf. Then i heard, the girl say "u are just NCC only, dun fake lar". Then i was like, this guy was disrespecting his uniform (and tt guy was in Long 4 too) ...
After I asked my fren, he said it is illegal to pass off as an soldier, true? He told me, i should have complained to HQ ... -

Their SSG and MSG very ya-ya-papaya and the BMTC 3SG and 2SG stand there laugh only. -

It's another one of these topics again...
Every once in a while we seem to see an NCC bashing thread. What the hell, is it really necessary for every new fark soldier above the rank of REC to start a thread complaining about NCC kids?
Come on lah, it's not like the bulk of our 18-20 year old NSF soldiers are so mature. If you refer to the next most common type of thread (i.e. the threads about whether NSFs will fight), you see stupid answers like, "pay so little, why fight?", "Better run lah" or the stupidest answer: "Singapore: one bomb finish already!".
Half the commanders in my infantry unit are former cadets. NCC may have a lot of stupid kids but they also do some stuff right... At least many of NCCs stupid kids grow up into decent NSFs. -
qui is right, unless the thread is made by NCC wayanging, then otherwise.
We should encourage the enthusiasm made by the NCC.

it's because we often see NCC kids with amazingly huge egos at such young ages. it's the "I'm in NCC. I wear same uniform as Army so I'm big shot" kind of mentality which pisses most servicemen off.

NCC kids don't look as mature as thos from SAF do. Imagine a MSG kid from NCC taking off his epaulette and walk around.. Hahah..
But yup, some NCC kid realy have Huge ego that goes all the way to the Moon...wait till they get the real taste..
