Ranks of servicemen in uniformed services
The ranks of servicemen in the uniformed services of the Singapore Armed Forces, in order of seniority, shall be as follows:

General/Admiral

Lieutenant-General/Vice Admiral

Major-General/Rear Admiral (Two-Star)
4.
Brigadier-General/Rear Admiral (One-Star)/ME8 (Military Expert 8)
5.
Colonel/ME7 (Military Expert 7)

Senior Lieutenant-Colonel

Lieutenant-Colonel/ME6 (Military Expert 6)
8.
Major/ME5 (Military Expert 5)
9.
Captain/ME4 (Military Expert 4)

Sounds like a pretty good idea actually. In times of war, in event of snipers, the ranks can be removed pretty easily.

plans are underway to come up with shoulder rank for WOSpecs...
but i think the velcro rank thing is a pretty good idea.
why not write it as a USMS idea!!

if they follow home team it's ok ma...
there were ideas open for option to follow the SPF...
so like our SSG rank will be somewhat similar to their S/SGT
and our MSG rank similar to their SSSGT ( Snr SSGT)

I believe we will move the ranks to the chest.
Like the US Army's current ACU rank pattern. -

Anyway, somebody wrote to Cutwaste Feedback Unit. The reply was lame, something like ranks on the shoulder is to show leadership, bla bla bla.
They should make the entire number 4 out of velcro... can affix things on it easily. -

Actually, Stooky's stumbled onto an idea here. Mods, could we make velcro threads on this forum for everything that Stooky posts? That way we can pull off and throw away yesterday's crap and keep the forum from getting clogged up.
