Combat personnel are both mentally and physically tortured, please do not even start to think for 1 sec that you guys have a harder life than us. Although I'm a spec I held clerk vocation for a brief period and that was like a holiday.Originally posted by Unknown_X:just bcuz clerks stay out do not mean that they are damn slack. some of us even stay back in camp till 9+pm everyday jus bcuz we have incompetent superiors. sometimes when there are high key periods, we have even stayed till 11+pm b4.
for this year's saf day, my office stayed till 3-4am in camp on the eve of saf day. sometimes, we have so many things in our mind that we wake up in the middle of our slp and can't get back to slp.
think of it as more of a mental torture rather than a physical one.
what action? BANNING?Originally posted by Gordonator:despite the fact that his threads are lame and childish, people still continue to post in them. i don't have the heart to delete them when people have already replied in them.
but since u all are of the same thinking with me, from now onwards, me and lazerlordz will take action when necessary.
i didnt say that clerks have a harder life than those at the combat side. im jus trying to say that every vocation has their pros and cons thats all.Originally posted by cod:Combat personnel are both mentally and physically tortured, please do not even start to think for 1 sec that you guys have a harder life than us. Whatever you say, I still think that combat soldiers deserve a higher vocation pay than non-combat soldiers. Think about it, you have mental stress. We have both physical and mental stress. I am a platoon sergeant, and I used to stress my trainees a lot, both mentally and physically. And if there's a war, we are the ones that put our lifes on the line. Not you guys, still in the nice air-con office and enjoying daily bookouts. And worse of all, there is still so much cock-ups in our adminstration. I am serving reservist now, with only four more to go, so I know.Originally posted by Unknown_X:i didnt say that clerks have a harder life than those at the combat side. im jus trying to say that every vocation has their pros and cons thats all.
Have you ever talked to Tech Specs who are clerks, QC inspectors and combat maintenance team leaders all rolled in one? Now let's see, I think they def. deserve combat pay.Originally posted by Theballstopshere:Whatever you say, I still think that combat soldiers deserve a higher vocation pay than non-combat soldiers. A second sergeant is no big shit, but I can count with my two hands how many times I get to go home during my operational service. Now during reservist, the clerks get to sit in the air-con office the whole time while we chiong sua outside. They usually get to outprocess earlier too.
Think about it.
Nope, I have not spoken to these folks before. Maybe they do, I don't know cos I do not know how much they do. But I am sure those clerks in those S branches should not be given combat pay, not at least the majority of them. It makes a mockery of us. But anyways, I think this issue is irrelevant as they already do not receive combat bat.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Have you ever talked to Tech Specs who are clerks, QC inspectors and combat maintenance team leaders all rolled in one? Clerks by vocation should not get combat pay, but Tech Specs should get technical allowance given that they do combat support and clerk work too.
S branches.. hehe. Def. not in my opinion too.Originally posted by Theballstopshere:Nope, I have not spoken to these folks before. Maybe they do, I don't know cos I do not know how much they do. how come i don't get paid more but i get physical and mental stress too?Originally posted by LazerLordz:Have you ever talked to Tech Specs who are clerks, QC inspectors and combat maintenance team leaders all rolled in one? Now let's see, I think they def. deserve combat pay.
