  Anyone of you removed the inner layer of the beret ( the water proof cloth )? I did coz thats the only way to 'season' my beret but if during raining, my hair will be wet.

  Yeah, I cut out the inner lining as well. Firstly, season faster, 2ndly, shape nicer, 3rdly, doesn't feel so tight.
  
  One thing about berets, getting one that is too loose really looks bad. It should be a "just-fit" thing.
  
  After took out the inner lining for my jockey cap n jungle hat as well. Gave it my own "water-proof" treatment. A little wax at the top. You'll see the water drop just roll off. Of course, don't put too much, it might turn a lil white... then ppl will start wondering what u do to ur head dress....

  yes i agree. majority of the people are size 7. buying too big a size will make one look like a mushroom.
  
  generally beret will shrink when comes in contract with water, so try not to get them too wet.
