Does anybody dare to wear Gortex jacket outside? Who can feel cool wearing it? It cost more than a 100 bucks though.

what i do not like abt the jacket is it's packed volume. so bloody big! u can't stuff it into the webbing pouch. -

But my Gore-tex was nearly sold in Beach Road.
The jacket only became an issue item after I enlisted, but my CQMS try to hide this fact from us.
It was during when CO see how come the company permstaff all drenched in the rain and he asked why we haven't draw our jacket.
We look at him puzzled, "i thought for regulars only?"
CO then checked with S4, QM and RQ. Turn out a few CQMS were just too plain lazy to draw it for us. -

hell thai soldiers buy anything gore tex boots esp cos just look at the condition of their boots -

For $150 for a Goretex jacket is a GOOD deal.
Commercial Goretex jacket in Singapore usually go around $500 at least. -

amazingly, if u know how to fold, a goretex jacket can squeeze inside that tiny SBO poncho pouch. no kidding.
