in reference to the army
Does being in guards, commando or officers makes u more man
than a store man, clerk or driver
just between us boys and men, whats your opinion
and 4 heavens sake dun start any unit bashing in here

how would a front liner feel esp if he is a foot slogger that theres no covering fire from arty ?
or when he needs a sapper when there is none ? -
after half a decade after ORD, no one would (or should !) give a flying fark anymore ....
those who still get hang-ups on their vocations and their ranks should get a life ...

Maybe in other countries( US),vocation may matter more,but in SG,i think the jobs that a guy is holding,as well as his salary matter alot more.

In the USMC,everyone(whether you are F18 pilot,computer geek,cook,dentist etc) are first and foremost an infantryman. -

WW2, almost if not all germen officer no matter what vocation were log trained before given power to lead in the front. they lost the war on logistics.
look at today US army, almost lost all war due to logistics. one can have the best army in the world but without elite log support, you are nothing, run out of ammo, ration etc... well you decide.
sad to say we have kuku CQ, RQ, QM, Head Log....
