An unfortunate incident

  what if you are an officer cadet doing a topo at Brunei when one of your platoonmates got dehyradrated? and you found a car that seemed abandoned in the forestry areas?..and you drove the car to find a nearby water source. then suddenly you got caught..got charged for stealing then demoted? because all you want to do is to save someone??
  
  I am asking cos my brother kena this..happened 4 years ago but I got annoyed at times..
  
  well you may think that my brother's action is a bit insensible but the justice system is a bit too harsh

  At the end of the day, it is still about face and reputation.
  
  Obviously the car that looks brand new with key in it is not abandoned. True you want to save a friend, but end up owner reported stolen.
  
  How do SAF feels when their personnel steals someone property? So obviously someone has to take the blame.

  But if my friend was going to be in serious trouble, I'd do the same thing and damn the consequences. NS is nothing compared to saving a person's life.

  If they can't see the fact that a life is at stake, it sure goes to illustrate what an org. the SAF is. Go save people when got Tsunami or Earthquake for what when you don't even give credit for the wit of a soldier for saving another soldier's life.The officer whom charged your bro ought to be brought on the line and shot!
