I don't think SAF pays multiple salary for concurrent appointment holders within the same organisation. for example, Chief of Staff and DJOPD type. -
Actually its not hard to believe that the SAF is paying its top men 30k per month. We can make comparisons with other branches of the civil service. it has been claimed (by Francisseow i think NOT SURE) that in the early to mid 90s, the Chief Justice earns about 1.2+ million per year excluding benefits. With inflation, and the trend towards higher salaries in lieu of phasing out benefits, we can be sure that his salary is much much higher. Now 1.2 million works out to be about 100k per month. With that in mind, the 30k sounds about right for a person in the lower echelons of top management.Originally posted by KoolKool:OK. I retract.
