Sign On: Worth It? Wise? Outside No Good Job Prospect? How?

I just watched "Saving Private Ryan" for the nth time. I feel so fired up after watching the show,so I played every mission of Call of Duty again. Whenever I play the game,how I wish I could recreate what is happening in it.
Whenever I see garang ads about the SAF on the media,I feel even more motivated to sign on.I see garang words such as "honour","duty","serve the country". I feel so patriotic and I know I will feel even more so if I join the SAF Commandos or better still the Special Forces.
Next month,I would be enlisting for NS. Really looking forward to it! Hope that there would be a lot of live firing exercises during my NS stint.Though I won't have that much time to play First Person Shooters,I can finally play the REAL THING!
First thing I gonna tell my BMT officer is I gonna sign on...with the Commandos!

in this age and time, and particularly in Singapore... this kinda garang mentality is much displaced. coz there is little chance to act out the garang in you. instead, you'd be demoralised. trust me, been there done that.
