how much a person can claim depends on the amount reported in his income tax.Originally posted by just.srad:If taxi driver goes for ICT, how much can they claim per day?

So taxi drivers must strike a balance...Originally posted by dragg:how much a person can claim depends on the amount reported in his income tax.
it is not just the taxi drivers but all self employed.Originally posted by Ponders:So taxi drivers must strike a balance...
report less, pay less tax, but less make-up pay
report more, pay more tax, but more make-up pay
Don't be fool by them. A self-employed earning $10K a month will not have his income source cut-off just because he is not in his office. He can still operate with his mobile phone. If his job can be taken over by another person easily, then it will not be worth $10K. So, technically, they draw LCP pay for ICT, but his other income source will still continue to come in.Originally posted by dragg:it is not just the taxi drivers but all self employed.
a few of my camp mates were always raving and ranting about ICT. they made a lot of money but chose not to report the full amount. they ended up taking lcp pay.
can you imagine someone earning 10k a month but taking a few hundred during ICT?
Imagine if he is some NS LTA, CPT, or 2WO/1WO or SSG/MSG.Originally posted by Gordonator:since the topic is on taxi drivers and ICTs, it kinda reminded me of something. my camp doesn't allows taxis to enter unless the driver is going for ICT. so it's kinda weird seeing a someone in uniform driving a cab.
Imagine if this CPT/MAJ (NS) picked the chap outside SAF Ferry Terminal while driving in uniform, and the RP tries to chase the cab away. He comes out and starts to scold the RP for chasing his fare away.Originally posted by Ponders:Imagine if he is some NS LTA, CPT, or 2WO/1WO or SSG/MSG.
Then his last fare before he reports to ICT is a recruit. hahaah.
Think recruit pee in his pants sia.
den the lao jiao starts to tell the recruit stories about the army....Originally posted by LazerLordz:Imagine if this CPT/MAJ (NS) picked the chap outside SAF Ferry Terminal while driving in uniform, and the RP tries to chase the cab away. And I can imagine the recruit's face when he enters the cab, suddenly feeling so stressed, and dare not remove his jockey cap.
but at least u get responses from taxi drivers over there wat...Originally posted by Gordonator:make up claims for ICTs are given by SAF not ComfortDelGro.
