Who here still like to wear the Goretex army boots even after ORD?
I am one because my work involves lots of standing and walking over unpaved gravel surfaces.
Normal shoes gives me sore legs after a while.. Army boots feels more firm and i dun get tired easily. -

I would prefer the old skool leather boots. Haben try sporting it on a weekends but should look gd with dark blue jeans.

combat boots are the most comfortable footwear u can find... Shiok sia,wear combat boot bua long long... Shiok...

The old leather ones were very comfortable, after heavy seasoning that is. They are like an extension of your feet, only tougher.

the non-Goretex one is much more waterproof right?
as compared to the Goretex one
then can burn the kiwi on the boots to make it more shiny -

i wear the 90s version...
much cooler than the goretex ones...dun quite fancy goretex..onli like them in fibua....cos they are quiet...
i like my old ones cos they let me feel the ground when i walk in closed terrain -

my goertex wear only a few thing in camp tt y i wear outside

Actually, I think you are wrong. The leather boots will dry faster than boots w/o goretex since in Goretex boots, there is another layer for moisture to pass through. Leather on its own a quite a breathable material. Goretex is not just about the water-proof yet breathable layer. It is also like a sign of quality. Goretex is saying that Products with our label on it will have been tested for waterproofness and breathability.
The problem with using Goretex in Hot and humid climate like ours is that your feet will sweat more and your feet will remain moist longer as it is not as breathable as boots which are purely leather. -
i still love my old leather boots
i only use the gortex boots when i go touring on my bike. -
I wear my Navy No 3 shoes..So comfy, look stylish also..good foe attending functions
