  How come it is called a scholarship? Usually gahmen only call those for unis scholarships,the rest are called awards.

  He's telling the truth. If you don't plan to upgrade to a diploma after you become a regular, your CEP is likely to be 1SG or SSG. No chance to go for JWOC.

  actually diploma actually condemm in SAF,only scholars can make it there...sad but true...

  which word make seem bias against ITE>? In e army,ranks matters and u would probably be somebody taking commands and doing e saikang u would be better off in e private sector dude

  But a diploma pushes your CEP to at least 2WO/1WO. At least enough to pay for your kids' uni education.

  Not just army, but the whole civil service as well.
  
  Its easy to get an education, but not easy to perform. So having a so called 'education background' is used to justify higher salaries and *coughGSTincreasecough*
