It's that time again, 3 years is up.
Time for BMTC 2 RSM to rotate out of BMTC.
Anyone here knows who replaced MWO Chan CS?
How about MWO Raymond? Still around? -

he may b harsh but i absolutely respect the ways he conduct himself. -
The most garang story about MWO Raymond which won my respect.
There was a batch of BMTC 3SGs attached to a mono-battalion.
Because of the stupidity of some of the 3SG, ALL the 3SGs were punished and told to kiwi tonner tyres and sweep parade square (this obviously the men got to see it).
Then polishing tonner tyre seemed to be that battalion's favourite punishment regardless the wrongdoing.
The 3SGs called MWO Raymond. MWO Raymond first decided not to listen thinking that 3SGs were just being whiny. But after few calls, he realised that it is uncoordinated complaints and felt that unit's RSM gone abit too far and unchecked.
He told the 3SGs a date, on which all the attached personnels are to pack thier stuff and duffel bag and book out without knowledge of that battalion.
So the battalion woke up without any 3SGs in camp.
MWO Raymond then called that RSM and tell him the importance of specs and that they should be accorded respect especially when men below them look up to them.
After the talk, the 3SGs booked in 30 mins later. Apparently the instructino was to just wait nearby.
Those 3SGs never got harrassed since. -
During my recourse, a bunch of us were sitting in the canteen watching Singapore Idol.
That was around 10pm plus.. so we were sitting there and then MWO Raymond walked towards our area with a few Coy CSMs as the 24km route march was taking place downstairs and they were doing some planning.
One of the PTEs decided to jump up and lower the volume of the TV, but he simply came over and talked to us, and said it's alright. Then he spent the next ten minutes talking abt SG Idol and watched it along with us. -

mwo raymond is currently the OC of Cougar Coy, last time known as Charlie Coy of BMTC sch 1. -
MWO Raymond visited us in the jungle during our fieldcamp, dressed up in his lao jiao SBO, he told us stories and encouragements. nice fellow.

Still rem the time when I went to his office to deconflict venues with BMTC School 1 regarding CO's parade. He was a strict superior but one who really deserves all our respect. I just came back from 300m Range and he even told me "No hurry, u go pack ur SBO and have a drink first" before going thru the details, even thou I knew he had many things on later that day. Haha but i quickly returned in less than 5mins... We all fear and respect him at the same time...

i always hear him repeating it over and over again during our POP parade rehearsals. a humourous, kind and caring man but at the same time really strict. i remember once he knocked everyone down just because 1 person from another company was yawning during the parade rehearsal. also a well known RSM for conducting stand by area/bed for his fellow specs -

MWO raymond was my OC....for BMT......i just POP 10 days back...was from Cougar....but now i believe hes posted to the old sispec..he OC of 3 new companies or smth like that...the RSM for bmtc now i believe is MWO punniya or smth, also a commando...

and once he said to me "you think you are in Vietnam ah?" because I secured my insect repellent with my helmet's black rubberband after river crossing in brunei. hahhahha
