  maybe hundred of years from now...
  
  coz maybe
  
  - the world has become so peaceful with no wars of conflicts, n sg has signed an agreement with some foreign country to render us military aid in case of a war breaking out
  
  or, - sg has developed robot clones, just like in the star wars movie attack of the clones, or irobot, to defend our country, therefore no need for human lives to be sacrificed
  
  or, - sg has developed some secret advanced biological or nuclear weapon, which could easily wipe out any invaders
  
  do u think so?

  Even though NS is wayang ,a country still need to have soldiers,unless singapore grew in population and also many regulars,if not nsf and nsmen is still needed.
  Like why they reduce ns from 2.5 to 2 yrs,i think one of the reasons is the rate of regulars has increase
