Most of the guys there are from Tango. They are "on loan" there to help Maj Koh.Originally posted by aznmild:yeah he's nice.. but PCs and instructors not as nice..
yes, this is the standard case. SISPEC should not be treated as a second class trg school compared to OCS. Each are training commanders for different roles and responsibilities. And i too strongly believe that if u're not fit for OCS trg... doesn't mean you should go to SISPEC. But of course the Army see's it fit to give OCTs who drop out after Pro term 3sg rank.Originally posted by Quirinus:With the exception of special cases, e.g. pilot drop-outs (and OCS no intake), otherwise SISPEC does not accept OCS OOC cadets. It is taken for granted that anyone who leaves OCS with a less-than-satisfactory record is also not fit to be a Specialist. If you get to OCS, you're stuck on that route.
1WO TAN got colon cancer and posted to HQ. No longer a commando. Not sure if he's cured but i guess so. AWSM on course. Edwin now the TCO. No intention of stuying.Originally posted by Master -_-:54th to all the Charlie Juniors...
Who is the WSM now? 1WO Tan still is it? SSG Lim is still the AWSM? Is LTA Edwin still there or has he gone studying?
Most of these 3SGs are posted to be Ops Spec. Hardly infantry sect comds.Originally posted by sir sickolot II:yes, this is the standard case. I think NCOs serve in reservist till 35 years old. Officers serve till 55 years old.Originally posted by the Bear:it is not the siong part.. all will go through training if in combat vocations..
it's the reservist part.. an officer will end up with heck of a lot more than the NCOs
reservist can be a good break from boring stressful jobOriginally posted by stellazio:but wait, lets say you have a good salary but stressful job in future. isn't being called back to reservist a good thing then?
That is totally whats on my mind. But too bad, having a hard time in ocs now.Originally posted by Vince Disel:I totally agree with sir sickolot II. My PC asked me whether i wanted to go OCS. I told him no and said i was determined to go to SISPEC instead. I believed he respected my decision. I was in only one in the whole company who wanted to be a specalist instead of an officer. Everyone in my platoon asked me why, even my instructors were suprised. During the SIT test, the evaluater even asked me why, I told him that by leading a group of men upfront, you can bond with them and gain their respect. That is the respect i wanted to earn. It is this cohension of you and your men that makes it such a fruitful experience.
