  Buy yourself one...black plastic frame spent a bit on stronger(thicker) frame (>$50) and gd qlty scratch resistance lens then that one pair can last you through out the NSF days
  
  1) nowadays still have spectacles claim or not? There was one and it was a reinbursement of $100!
  
  2) if still have claim this is what you DO: after you get perma assign to a unit...ie bmt/ocs/sispec/course finish liao....go make a new and more cool looking pair of spectacles dont need to be saf standard...then *immediately* submit to chief clerk(ask if have first)....by the time you ORD in a years+ time you SHOULD get the reinbursement...

  In the US Army, their standard issue prescription glasses is called BCG. Anyone know what this means and why ?

  OC say you spoil your specs.
