Hi peeps, I gt qn dat I nid ur help
I hav knee problems for long time. Last time I need to go for long period of treatment in clinic A. Every few months need to go back for reviews.
The army letter tell us to bring all our medical papers for medical checkup, I stupid stupid and bring all along lor. The medical officer MO saw them liao and ask me if my knee is okay now. I want to go OCS and I noe that my body must all okay, so I told him my knee ish okay. I dun think he believe me he so ask me get memo from my doctor. He asked me if I was still going for checkups at clinic A and I say yes.
My knee hurt when I squat and jumps or run hills or after soccer games, budden I dun think its big deal. Alot of ppl also hav knee problems and I shud oso can tahan thru army. OCS I think need PES A or B. I cannot let my knee bring down my PES
The doctor at clinic A say wif my knee I cannot do any strainin activities and he write memo to say I unfit, kaoz!
Cus like that, I go another clinic B and say my knee is okay and get doctor to write memo say I am fit. I nv say about the last time problems or problems now. I wan to bring this new memo to see MO.
* Will MO notice I change doctor?
* Even if he noe, would he care dat I change?
* Will MO interogate me how come I change doctor?
* Will MO call doctor from clinic B and ask him about the memo? Cus if MO call, he will find out that I only just few weeks ago visit this newer doctor and the doctor also donÂ’t know my last time problems.
* Will MO go check my record or ask me bring medical papers again so that he can call doctor from clinic A and then ask the doc. Den he will noe that I gt long history of knee problems and that I unfit.
* Will MO punish me?

Anyway, no point trying to upgrade your status. Cannot make it means cannot make it. No point trying to be something then end up being stuck with a disability for life. -

Your knee like that, you still want to go cheong OCS or SISPEC??
Better get downgraded! Wait you jump off low wall your knee explode. Then no "memo" will save you anymore. -
Going OCS is 1 thing.
Damaging ur knee FOR LIFE is another.
Don't play with something you have to live with for the rest of your life, just for the prestige, honour and pride of having people call u SIR. -
With your condition, I will advise you to forget about aiming to be in the officer corps. After your NS, strive to be a Boss and employed as many ex-SAF Officers, Warrants, Sergeants, soldiers and have them call you 'Sir' every morning. You can put them in similar looking No. 3 uniform if you wish to.
In the interim, employ a maid, and she will greet you as 'Sir'.

bo bian liao lor...or try to heal ur knee asap...if ur knee buang its for life man...no joke...plus the op will let u have mc for a few mths(if tt is ur aim tsk tsk...) even soccer game u cannot tahan how to complete route march or jump high ramp even in BMT?

First of all, are u sure u can confirm + chop and guarantee u are getting a spot in OCS in the first place? Ignoring PES status, Till now, the only confirm way I know is
1.) U are a scholar
2.) U are white horse
If not, boils further down: Are u eligible?
1.) Poly grad?
2.) A level grad?
If u are not any of the above, u already can kiss ur OCS dream goodbye.
Next. If u are eligible, we come down to selection criteria, till now, I still have no idea how they choose ppl for OCS. Seen cases where ppl show leadership, did well in their sit test but still end up as combat medics,etc and ppl who zhuo bo lan, sabo king can end up in OCS. So really dun know how the heck they choose.
So how confident u are confirm getting a place inc OCS?
Second, taking PES into consideration. U willing to risk ur medical condition just for a spot in OCS? Even such that it may cost u ur life? Ur career? Ur future?
Sure, u can tahan now but what about in the future? 10 years? 20 years?
Dude, there is nothing wrong in striving for being the best BUT not at the expense of your health.
Coming back to ur questions
1.) Yes, chances are they will notice, everything computerized liao.
2.) Yes, he will care, he goes by the book one. (Not kidding, really, every MO got a book to follow one)
3.) Depends.
4.) Maybe, or the MO will send u down to SAF's OWN specialist for examination.
Because SAF MO dun really trust outside doctors recommendations.
5.) Maybe.
6.) Not really. If u are trying to keng downgrade then maybe the MO will do something.
In short, although I dun really like SAF MO, they do have a set of rules that they must follow. First, they cannot suka suka downgrade a person. Similar, they cannot suka suka upgrade a person also. To get a upgrade from a downgrade, ususally involves Medical review and examination. The reasons for these are checks, just in case for chao keng ppl aiming for downgrade or injured gung ho ppl who are trying to get upgrade.
