Unit Pt-Attire

Some/most of you know what I'm talking about; those singlet that bears the unit's emblem at the front and the unit's colours at the sides.
Well, was at COURTS Megastore just now and it was packed with people. Then saw this guy wearing commando PT-shirt; yes the one with yellow & green at the sides.
The funny thing is (or so I thought), the guy is like the size of Moses Lim (no ofence to him of course) with huge beer-belly, and he walk like he some tough fellow with garang face. I wanted to take photo of him but there were too many people. Perhaps anyone who was there just now may have seen him.
Anyway my point is, should NSFs/NSmen wear those shirts in the public? I know there's no ruling regarding wearing of the singlets but when I saw that guy just now, I feel that people should'nt wear them outside of camp or house. I mean, what's the point of wearing them? To show people you from commandos/guards/sig battalion/SIRs etc etc..?
What are your thoughts on this? -
I saw a bangala wear OCS singlet before.

maybe he is NSmen, last time from commando n den maybe downgrade den no need reserbits...
or maybe he borrow his sibling's singlet to wear -

too biased against my own formation.
left out the SARs... the chiong sua armour units
oh i think wearing your unit/other unit singlet is ok... but one should also exercise some common sense like if you are not so fit now... don't haolian wear your old PTI singlet that you wore during your NSF days la.

i wear my engineer singlet at home all the time. in fact i'm going for a run now in the same singlet as well.

combat engineers pt kit seem to be the most sought after. must be the sleek black look. makes u less fat haha~

Oh, the clerks who work at Commando camp also wear those CDO singlet wad. They are the commando....clerks. So maybe that guy u saw was a clerk there or smth. -
green and yellow strips at the side?
I think one of the teachers in my JC wears that and should be from commando too
sees him running on the tracks for like countless rounds during my training in that PT kit
he looks darn fit and muscular in that PT kit -
I like my Armour formation singlet. Don't know where it's gone though, since I ORDed six months ago.

its no big deal wearing the unit's singlet outside.often see pple wear them for outdoor exercises or in gym.And it doesn't mean dat the person wearing it has to come from dat unit.its not uncommon for family members/frens to wear SAF singlets. i hv friends who r medics and wearing PTI singlet/commando/armour singlets.

Why nitpick on them. The singlet is designed as a formation-wide attire.
Even CDOs have clerks, drivers, medics and storemen. -
those singlets are very light and cosy.
