lol. He vv guailan one la. Got 1 time did cos, den he bos tht day. Den lunchtime duty finishing... he ask to write down our particulars(SOP thing). Den i ask him borrow his pen to write. He guailan ask me y no pen? den i just gei siao smoke him say nv said before. Then wanted to aim liao. But i just nod nod n listen to his crap. Weird. Heard his phantom last time e front wheel kena taken out by one of his men cos he tekan him. The guy sibei buay song...den did tht. He was 1sg since i was posted to my company.

guards training siong...but so is combat engineers...but at least in guards...ur ops training results in physical fitness because guard is infantry-based...35SCE build bridges(assuming U dont end up in boat,HQ or somewhere else within 35SCE)...Ops means that U use bridging equipment to complete ur mission...the physical workout is not as significant as the infantry(doesnt mean building bridges over water is a piece of cake hor...)Originally posted by Qi_ming:y heng? haha.. i tell my frend i go guards they all say i die liao.. haha.. but when get e guards tab n e khaki beret then got pride..

but you cannot rely wholly on light infantry and ferrying of light strike vehicles by the Pumas and Chinooks even if our Air Force is supposed to dominate the skies...
someone has got to get the tonners...broncos...plants...infantry...AMXs...Leopards in....to reinforce the positions...

what I meant was...that on an individual soldier's point of view(at least to me)...repelling is more useful.
of course...in combat battle...no single unit is more important that the other...and skills deployed by SCE helps to get the SAF going... -

to me the best vocation is signaller and the best unit is of cos HQ Armceg(Army Combat Engineer Group) or 35th SCE...
bcos 35th SCE is under HQ Armceg and HQ Armceg is under Army and not division. although it's a support unit, bt notice dat dis unit does not have muslims in it other den storemen and drivers.
the best reason is!!! during division exercise, last to come in, first to go out. so expect @ least 3nights outfield. whereas for infantry or other vocations, first to come in, last to go home. so if exercise 9days outfield, u have to stay for 9days.
there's a chance of being posted out after bmt in 35th, bt after i say all dis, do u wana get posted out? although siong, but still u go home earlier den anyone. u build more knowledge and logic from buildin bridges.
if u're really posted to 35th SCE, b prepared to see a kampong camp, as in really really old came, shld b since 1931, it's on the CCO building. camp was from WWI or WWII british time. and is very very big. -

Then the clever part, is when RSM ask him do saikang, he say he need to help Boat in certain matters. If Boat OC asks him to do saikang, he says he has RSM saikang. LOL! Then he use his Chevrolet car to siam both parties hahaha! He going to ORD this Jul and study uni. Definitely the best regular fren I can ever relate to. All the best to him man!
Thomas is one big time muthafucka la lol. He always 'la sai' esp. the COS pen thinggy that someone mentioned. Some small things kick a fuss then throw extra. That's his pattern la. He's No. 1 Target written all over him in 35 SCE. Abt 2-3 months before I ORD, when I was doing COS security check, I saw a letter of promotion for the fat fart. I think he's going to be SSG soon. Ewww. -
Actually, being a boatman at 35 also not bad wad. U learn how to drive a boat... but still need to take PPCDL if u ever want to do some private boating.
This license doesnt recognise the boating training given by SAF if I recall correctly. You can parallel park a missile corvette and u still need to take a basic license for powered pleasure craft. -
Yep... It's fun but the bad thing is it's not recognised outside of SAF... I'm a Boat Spec... Had loads of fun driving the assault boat... My swimming sucks so I dun frequent pools nad beaches... But being a part of Boat Coy gave me a broader perspective... Nth really beats the sense of freedom out in the sea commanding ur own boat... If only SG sun not that scorching... Haha... But I'm not intending to take powerboat license cos it isn't practical unless u're some rich dude who can afford such an expensive hobby... Rather spend the $ on car license...
