  what's the difference between NS-men, NSF and regulars arh?
  
  cos I see some names like SGT Tan (NS) .. etc
  
  pardon this noob question cos I'm not serving NS currently

  NSF - full-time National Service
  NSman - after you ORD before you ROD. NSF enlist as boys, so they are deemed man when they ORD.
  Regulars are also full-time servicemen. Don't know at which stage they become 'man'.
  
  NSF and Regulars use just rank and name : eg 1SG Tan
  
  NSmen can use their rank if they wish to, and usually qualify themselves that they are not regulars by inserting (NS) after their rank. eg BG(NS) Tan
