Young man, the day you served your last and finally ICT, you'll receive ur COA and MR. Your CO, OC, S3, Chief Clerk will be present to say a few thank you words. And you can ask few questions about being in MR list. I was told tat you can still be activate only when there is a war. Trust me on this coz I'm from a classified unit.Originally posted by mhcampboy:wad press button??

Ur fren those no unit posted to PDF belonged to PES A n B?Originally posted by Manager433:So long as you are combat fit except Pes-C, you'll need to complete all your 10 ICT. You may just be under some 'holding' list but once they finalise which unit to throw you in, good luck. A few of my friends ROD for 4-5 yrs no unit. And suddenly received letter posted to PDF. One year served at least 2 ICT to make up for the delay. Die die must complete all 10 ICT in 5 yrs time frame coz they are already in their early-30s
Yesh. During their NSF days ( before 1994 ), their vocations are drivers, cooks, storeman, armstroke man, firing range warden. All Pes-A or B.Originally posted by will4:Ur fren those no unit posted to PDF belonged to PES A n B?

" Required for overseas trips of more than 24 hours but less than 6 months. NSmen who have completed their ORNS training cycle and have been phased into the MR will be exempted from notifying the MNC. "Originally posted by Manager433:Wrong wor. You still need to inform MINDEF when you leave Sg more than a certain time frame ( I forgot the actual hours ). You need not notify them once you hit the age of 40 .
I see. I still keeping my full pack, SBO, boots in tip top conditions in my store room.Originally posted by Beyond Religion:Manager433, I am also in MR like you and have the same exact experience (keeping helmet, SBO etc...)
Immediately after going to MR, I still report through the Mindef notification process every time I go overseas... out of long years of habit I think. Then 3 months ago I receive a letter telling me that I dont have to do this anymore. BTW, I am not yet 40.
Maybe I can keep my boots for my son next time My boots are the old style-more durable type, and damned seasoned one. Followed me through 11 years of soldiering.
MINDEF trying to catch those who do not notify when going overseas. Now, they have to monitor those who notify but are not required to do so. Why can't they just block off those NRIC who are not required to report ?Originally posted by Beyond Religion:Manager433, I am also in MR like you and have the same exact experience (keeping helmet, SBO etc...)

I was actually told verbally that I don't have to do this any more... But you know how the SAF works... it didn't happen if it ain't in writing.Originally posted by KoolKool:MINDEF trying to catch those who do not notify when going overseas. In my BMT days, I used those really old style boots that require 2 weeks of seasoning. I heard that the Goretex boots these days doesn't require any seasoning... I am not sure, but I also heard that its not as durable as the older type of boots.Originally posted by KoolKool:You boots was seasoned according to your legs, so unlikely to find an exact fit to follow the curves. And also, must sons follow fathers' footstep and footsize ??
