muslim prayers and SAF

  are the muslim soldiers allowed to perform prayers inside the camp premises n are they allowed to go on mosques every friday noon?

  Yes. Friday prayers allowed only if they got no training or prior committments..

  The most senior Muslim officer in the unit is the de-facto Officer of Muslim Affairs.
  
  he decides whether the unit can go nearby mosque or pray in camp.
  
  But i notice when training is tougher... suddenly ppl are more devout to their religion.
  
  There was one time when i was doing duty.. the duty battalion storeman approach me for permission to go bunk for 1 hour.
  
  I ask him why so long, he say "prayers"
  
  Since it is religious and it is a sunday (nothign to do), i let him go.
  
  Then later his bunkmates ask me why i believe him. I say because it is religion and i dun want to create a hoohaa because i dun allow someone to do his religious prayers.
  
  Then his bunkmates tell me not to believe him and do a raid on the bunk.
  
  He was praying to the PS2 god.

  now no nid to go back to bunk already, PS2 has sent his son PSP, which can be carried around.

  hmm...never encountered such before...
  
  i was in airforce...doubt theres any malays or muslims..though i do see a couple of malay lookalikes before in airforce in my 2 yr tenure there..
