Hi guys, I know I'm not in the SAF or anything.But I need some help.I have a friend who is currently doing his ns....has been since start of 06.He's already done training at ex wallaby in aus,and has told me he has signed on to be in the regulars,and is being sent to Brunei for 2 years,starting from sometime at the end of this year.Is this possible?From what I've heard from others,I'm having a hard time believing him unfortunately.Can anyone fill me in?

well y not? depending on his vocation n wat he signed on as...
if u tinking dat once he signed on aft he went to australia den he can go back there again... it might not b e case... anw if dat is e reason to sign on... it is v.foolish -
no i wasnt thinking that at all.just from what i've been told,you only serve 2 years ns.ok,so he signed on for regulars. wouldnt he have to finish his ns before being sent to brunei as a regular?

Depends on which vocation he is. If Engineering or Logistic vocations then it is possible for him to be schedule as permanant staff there for 2 years.
If he is in Combat vocation then he is too junior to be deploy there. -

On the other hand, if he sign as ADF Rifleman then total is also 4 yrs.
