Cant be. SAF emphasize on SAFETY. if speed... then accident how..Originally posted by Gordonator:usually they will get civilian trailers to ferry the armored vehicles from camps to camps (assuming they are not very big).
reason being it's faster this way and won't be weird seeing these vehicles moving on the roads.
trailers won't speed i can assure u that.Originally posted by mhcampboy:Cant be. SAF emphasize on SAFETY. if speed... then accident how..
so now, what road is new and what road is old...Originally posted by mhcampboy:There is a directive that says, during exercise vehicle convoys are not allowed on expressways. Must use old roads. Dunno true or not...
I must be an old soldier ............ it was 10 times beep, followed by one jump in number on the SWD. Then, you are out.Originally posted by Quinsy:SWD beep 3 times and you're out.

Because I'm working lah. Location pretty near to the expressway and the moment I heard some funny engine sound, I turn and look and saw that convoy. Think they r heading back to camp after live fire ex because in the morning can hear boom boom boom. If at nite, can even hear live firing as far as SAFTI.......... GPMG, 84, AMX etc etc.Originally posted by Gordonator:regarless NPNT rule still apply here. why didn't u take pics?
There is such a directive but normally unit COs do't bother unless you are talking about ATEC.Originally posted by DarthBart:Don't think got such a directive la...
If got ah... It'll take my unit 3hrs to travel from Selarang to LCK training area liao...
Not true. Bikes can go up to 70km/h a few years back. I think it depends on the vehicles la.Originally posted by Manager433:

I saw a convoy of armored vehs moving at very fast speed. I thought during peace time ops, all SAF vehs must follow speed limit of 50kph? And how come they are allowed to travel on expressway?
